Can Direct To Garment Printing Only Used On A T-Shirt Made Of 100% Cotton?

As we all know, DTG printing always used on 100% cotton printing especially like T-shirt printing. However, so many people may ask ,DTG printing just only used on 100% cotton printing ? And others textile is OK? For example, can Roland Bn-20 printer&cutter used on a T-shirt made of a 50/50 blend?
