Difference between Sublimation Paper And Heat Transfer Vinyl-----Do You Know It?

Hi,Nice to see you. A new week is coming, how is your weekend going? Last week I have mostly shared you about our new lunched products, include the sublimation ink, ribbon heat press machine and so on. Then this week we will start a new topic, let'e talk more about the technology and help you solve the problems when doing your sublimation printing and transferring. Today the topic is about the sublimation paper and the transfer vinyl. I will help you distinguish the difference between them and then get to know which product is most suitable for you.

Side of Description
The first share is from the side of the description of the sublimation paper and the heat transfer vinyl.
Sublimation paper: sublimation paper is a special paper with the coatings on the surface of the original paper. So the coating is a very important part for the sublimation paper, With this you can transfer the patterns from it onto the fabric successfully.
Transfer vinyl:Heat Transfer Vinyl is a special vinyl that can be used on certain fabrics/materials to create designs and promotional products. It comes in a roll or sheet form with an adhesive backing.

Operation Process
Then from the side of the operate to introduce the transfer vinyl and the sublimation paper.
Sublimation paper: Use the sublimation paper for your textile. You need to use the special sublimation ink and the sublimation printer to print the patterns you need onto the sublimation paper first. Then for the transfer, you should use the rotary heat transfer machine. Put the sublimation paper with patterns and the textile for transfer onto the heat press machine. The under the high temperature and pressure your patterns will be transferred onto the textile successfully. But take carefully, the sublimation paper can be divided onto the sticky sublimation paper and the fast dry sublimation paper. So for your different material of the textile you need to choose the right performance per. Mostly, if your textile with spandex you should better choose the sticky sublimation paper. Or the ghosting will appear onto your textile after transfer.
Transfer vinyl: While for the transfer vinyl, the biggest difference is that sometimes the heat transfer vinyl don't need to be printed first. While you need to cut the the patterns need first, And the next step is nearly of the sublimation paper, use the heat transfer technology and your patterns will be transferred onto the textile successfully. And  mostly, if you use the heat transfer vinyl you don't need to buy the heat press machine, sometimes for your T-shirt DIY,just a iron in home is enough.

Application
The last one is the different application of them. The heat transfer vinyl is mostly used for the shirts, hats, koozies, tote bags, jerseys and headband. In summary it is used for the small products.
But the sublimation paper is not only with them.It has another kind of the transfer paper that can also be used for the T-shirt patterns transfer. But mostly the sublimation paper is in roll size,so mostly it is used for the roll textile, banners, advertisement produce. Also if you need to transfer the T-shirt in large quantity you can also use the jumbo roll sublimation paper. With this it can help you save a lot of time and cost in the transfer process.
