How to Use Inkjet Heat Transfer Paper Corretly?

Inkjet heat transfer paper can be used for all color inkjet printers, and is applicable to common water-based ink. Print the image you liked first, then transferred the image to the cotton textiles by heat press machine. Thus, you can produce various products such as distinctive personal T-shirts, sportswear, hats, bags, pillows, cushions,mouse pads, home decorations, and so on. Now, let’s have a look on how to use it.

1. Design


Choose the image or design the artwork you want to press onto the T-shirt. Ideas include a personal digital photograph, an abstract artistic design or a slogan.

Use graphic design software to create or edit your T-shirt’s artwork as necessary. Horizontally flip the image or artwork using the software to reverse it .

2. Print


Flip the image using the software print the image or artwork onto heat transfer paper .Then leave it to dry for about 10 minutes.

Load the heat transfer paper into your printer so the artwork or inmage prints onto the film side of the paper.(suggest using pigment ink)

3. Trim


Cut out any parts of the transfer paper you do not want to press onto the T-shirt.

4. Peel


Peel off the image layer gently.

5. Transfer onto T-shirt


Preheat the heat press machine, and set the recommended transfer temperature to 165℃.

Place the T-shirt on a heat press. Lay the artwork or image face up over your chosen T-shirt. Put the isolation paper on the image. Transfer for 10 seconds under medium pressure.

6. Cool down


After transferring, then remove the garment from the heat area.

The pattern transferred onto the products are of high quality, and are sharp, detailed, colorful, and has a good fastness to washing.

What’s the Difference Between Sticky Sublimation Transfer Paper And Sublimation Paper?

For sublimation transfer paper , we generally divide it into 2 types: the fast dry sublimation paper and the sticky sublimation paper. But most people just know the fast dry sublimation paper, because the applications of sticky paper is limited. But sometimes, sticky paper is also important. Tacky sublimation paper is one type of sublimation paper with a tackified coating. The tackified coating will be activated by heat. After the tackified coating is activated, it will adhere to the textile very firmly, so after the transfer is finished and when you lift the press up, the paper will still firmly adhere to the textile, it prevents the paper and textile from moving, the ghosting will not occur. The tacky paper is mostly used in stretch material such as lycra, the stretch material has a elastic, it is much easier moving during the transfer.
